MKDC were appointed by St. Hildas Anglican School for girls to refurbish their 1980’s library and create a new technology hub over two levels. MKDC translated this complex brief into a wonderful reality. Specifically, the issue of integration between areas and the two storeys’ was solved by moving the main entrance and enclosing an external staircase. The upstairs and downstairs areas were interconnected by creating break-out reading and study areas amongst the computer hubs. The reading for enjoyment areas is comfortable, bright and relaxing thanks to clever furniture selection and design.
