Kelmscott Library

The Kelmscott Library is a space frequented by a diverse range of people ranging in age, gender, culture and interests. We were appointed by the City of Armadale to merge the needs of its visitors, activating the space via a community hub concept.

Our client wanted to provide an experience that felt inclusive, easy to navigate and evoked respectful, engaging interactions for all who use it. Application of colour and graphics helped to invigorate the space, with collaborative furniture selections used to demarcate the various scenarios in the which the library is used.

The finished interior is wholly centred around its community while cleverly addressing functional requirements—an impressive final outcome which delivered above and beyond the client’s brief.
