This project involved the relocation of two government departments, Shared Services and Infrastructure, into a shared office space at Royal Street. Integral to the design of this project was the strategic planning of the reception area - also to be used by employees from other tenancies for training sessions, meetings and interviews. With over 220 employees, each work zone has a central built area encompassing; formal and informal meeting spaces, layout benches and quiet zones. The front-of-house areas have a contemporary, yet warm palette, while the workspace combines natural tones and an organic layout which is emphasised with the use of radial workstations. All of the materials and textures were selected to align with the Departments mission and values, creating a meaningful and timeless office interior that is inviting to staff and visitors.
